Former Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal (1997-2000)

Non-Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal (2000-2015)

Mr Justice Litton became a Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal from 1997 to 2000 and a Non-Permanent Judge of the Court of Final Appeal in 2000.

Mr Justice Litton was born in Hong Kong. He graduated from Merton College, Oxford in 1956. He was called to the English Bar in 1959. He was admitted to the Hong Kong Bar in 1960 and appointed Queen's Counsel in 1970.

Mr Justice Litton joined the Hong Kong Judiciary as a Justice of Appeal in 1992. He was appointed Vice President of the Court of Appeal in 1995.

Mr Justice Litton was appointed an Honorary Bencher of Gray's Inn in 1999. He was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2000. He was appointed Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong in 2014.
