Hearings before the Court or the Appeal Committee are generally conducted in English. In criminal proceedings, the Court will arrange for interpretation services free of charge for the Applicant/Respondent. In civil proceedings, the Applicant/Respondent requiring interpretation services must make an application to the Registrar, explaining the reasons for the request. Once the application is approved, our Court clerk will arrange for the booking of interpreters and a prescribed fee will be charged for the services.

The interpretation services are provided by the Court Language Section. The Section is also responsible for certifying the translation of documents for use in court proceedings. The address of the Court Language Section is 26/F, Wanchai Tower, 12 Harbour Road, Hong Kong.
