Mr Christopher CHAN Cheuk

Former Acting Registrar of the Court of Final Appeal (1999-2000)

Mr Chan became the Acting Registrar of the Court of Final Appeal in 1999.

Mr Chan was born in Hong Kong in 1941. He obtained both a BA and MA from the University of Hong Kong in 1964 and 1967 respectively. He was admitted as solicitor in Hong Kong in 1970 and as barrister and solicitor in Canada in 1992. He was the President of the Law Society in 1996.

Mr Chan joined the Hong Kong Judiciary as a District Judge in 1998. He was appointed Registrar of the High Court in 2000.
